AVZ have explored a certain part of it, and having now being technically 'awarded' the mining license, the tenement is going through the process of being split into an area to be 'exploited', i.e. the mine and surrounds, on which they will pay the surface rights payment, and the remainder, which has not yet been 'researched' will be re-issued as it is now - an exploration permit.

Despite what some desperadoes will try to tell you, it is NOT being split to be sold off or taken off AVZ; this process is completely normal when a permit transitions from exploration to exploitation
