I havae no problem supporting the genuinely disabled Lappy but there are currently some 850,000 Australian's getting NDIS assistance. There is no chance that nearly 5% of Australian's are disabled to an extent of needing government support services, these should be reserved for the genuinely disabled.

Then there's the funding arrangements for the NDIS, oh actually there weren't any. It should have been funded the same way the fantastic Transport Accident Commission is funded here in Victoria, one of the many amazing initiatives of the Kennett govt where EVERYONE pays a compulsory insurance levy and have it managed by a govt owned, "private" organisation like the TAC. At the moment it's a black hole on the general budget and will continue to expand and see $Billions wasted annually through the typical incompetence of the public service

FYI, there are so many people getting home services, I know of people who are genuinely disabled who can't get services because there are simply not enough support workers and the service providers are unable to find new workers. It's a complete and utter shambles that Gillard left behind that is seeing $Billions wasted every year
