The radioactivity issue is not a welcome one for most anyone. It is perhaps more a sentiment-related investment share price risk than any real enterprise risk, but it can have long term negative impact. Could become a dark cloud or a black swan; company stays in business but public interest in investment becomes wary and wanes; politicians back away from support; necessary legislation and policy initiatives wither; the hope of the past is dashed by ignorance and fear; alarmism and hysteria counter-productive; poo-pooh-ing the problem saying someone else has it taken care of I don't have to worry about it is no better.
If they had a safe and profitable use for that thorium, they wouldn't be so quiet about it, yeah?
