These tools have no idea about the Oil and Gas industry and have never invested in any O & G company.
They just like to add their own flavour (interpretation) to any propaganda article, that confirms their world view.
If they had half a brain and did some basic research, they would understand it was just political grandstanding.
Just the title should have given the game away.
Germany aims for fourth FSRU in race to cut off Russian gas
Yup, its just an aim.
Further, if they had done some research on the Poland and Bulgaria proclamations (another political grandstanding), they would have realized Poland was still "indirectly" buying gas from Russia - just that the Russian gas goes to Germany first, and then Poland purchase them from Germany (lol). For Bulgaria, they would buy their gas from Greece, who had first bought it from Russia.
Of course, such grandstanding allow these politicians to claim the political high grounds; that they are not buying Russian gas anymore (not directly anyway), and win over some brownie points with their electorate.
I suspect other EU politicians caught onto this, and decided to play their own games too.
In reality, EU will be lucky if it could wean itself off Russian energy within the next 5 years.
Its going to require hundreds of billions of dollars of new investments in O & G companies and tens of billions in building additional LNG tankers or FSRU - its not like there are many DUCs that could be utilized or spare FSRU/LNG tankers sitting idle!!!
