I completely agree with you regards their lack of respect for these things. Having said that if the Putinistas wanted to, they could flatten Ukraine in an instant with carpet bombing. As they did in Chechnya and Syria . They are in fact- in relative terms of course- treading carefully compared to how they dealt with the other 2 territories. But can you explain to me how this invasion is morally different to the illegal invasions and complete destruction, mass killing of women and children of the sovereign countries of: 1. Iraq 2. Libya 3. Afghanistan 4. Vietnam I see no difference. I see the howls of outrage as utter hypocrisy. Unless of course one values European lives as somehow more "worthy" than non Europeans. And views the West as somehow exceptional in their right to invade countries at will to effect regime change. Surely not?
