If you look at the % short history with respect to the share price, particularly the run from 80c up to $2, it's clear that many were burnt. A lot of random accounts stopping by to vent anger during that hectic time and a lot of shorts where covered. Then, when they should of actually been shorting on the trip down to $1, they weren't.
Since BRNs been around the $1 mark % shorts creeping up again.
Talk about being behind the curve.
