Its the fear of Ukraine becoming a nuclear power that drew him. Ukraine had all the ingredients, best U deposits in Europe, 4 enriching plants & the best minerals & agro land to generate funds.. Ukraine also possess the technology by doing all nuclear work for USSR before the breakup. Russia has been destabilising Ukraine since the breakup for that reason.
