Hi Brickingbad & Mintie14 Had to do it this way -not sure if I can reply to two people at once Thanks to both of you for your informative reply It does look a bit clearer now because at the time I was on a good salary and a company car However now I have retired I am on a part government pension and I top it it up with what I make out of trading I have a SMSF which I also trade and have never drawn from since I retired I will have a chat to my accountant and see if I can be re classified--- as trading is my only income apart from a part pension and cashing in my empty beer cans
