It's the same reason they muddied the control groups for the chronic lower back pain trial.

The study group was cells+hyaluronic acid.

What would you expect the control to be?

Hyaluronic acid, right? Because there are studies that show HA in itself can decrease inflammation and pain in joints.

So to make sure it's the cells, not the HA carrier, you should do HA as a control.

    They used saline.

It's a meaningless study. But people refuse to admit that here.

It doesn't prove it's the cells, rather than the HA, causing the effect.

They also don't compare it to current gold standard, which is steroid injections.

Would've been easy to do, if they were convinced it would have an effect.

Gotta ask why. And gotta start thinking maybe it's not poor study design, maybe it's deliberate.

The problem is, poorly designed studies won't fool the experts, it won't convince doctors to use an expensive experimental therapy vs cheap proven ones.

But it may convince investors who don't know any better.

Purely my opinion. Happy to be wrong.
