I realise that it is way off topic but I am interested in your GWM purchase. Do you use it off road and how long do you plan on keeping it. Like most vehicles these days they have a decent warranty but I wonder how many claims will be declined due to being judged either "misuse" or "fair wear and tear".
My personal opinion is that the Chinese can make decent electronics, batteries and electric motors but when it comes to chassis, running gear, trim and ICE they leave a bit to be desired. I am hoping that in the near future GWM and other Chinese manufacturers will produce an EV cab chassis ute because the rest of the world does not need the American sized "trucks" that seem to be all the rage over there and so far it seems that none of the current crop could be fitted with a tray back anyway.
It is rumoured that VW are going to bring out an EV Amarok which would probably be about the right size but I suspect it would have a fairly hefty price tag. So long as a Chinese EV ute can prove to be durable I think they would sell better than their ICE counterparts.
