AVZ shareholders must collectively fight this monumental injustice. Considering that a vast percentage of the current cash position is dedicated to earthworks and project advancement, it might be wise to start a "gofundme" for legal fees.
AVZ will need to secure the services of a high-tiered law firm like King & Wood Mallesons to pursue it's legal rights. Evidently, the DRC legal system cannot be trusted to adjudicate impartially and transparently.
It would be wise to start legal proceedings in Australia, European Union, the United States, etc. Any transparent jurisdiction where DRC or Zijin Mining Group hold assets that can be seized under court order.
It is imperative that we put an end to the notion that the Chinese have carte blanche in Africa to profit from the tireless work of Australian shareholders.
If those efforts don't succeed, AVZ shareholders should consider supporting Joseph Kabila's return to power.
