Each to their own. The reality is I'm looking at a grossed up return of 17% pa. in dividends per year on my original investment.
Selling and recognising CGT seems short sighted when (barring any energy meltdown) this will continue to pay strong dividends post merger.
If you think you can get better yields with less risk elsewhere then it makes sense. For me, it's a nice safe cashflow stream to hold.
