MilesCC , I need to explain this specifically too you because you seem genuinely respectful. First of all the VIX can be lets say 35 and red , and the dow jones , NASDAQ etc.. can be green and showing that they will be strong on the futures for example. Or the VIX can be red and be green and 20 and the Markets are showing red on the dow Jones and NASDAQ for example!
The VIX when it stays above 30 implies whether a green or red dow or NASDAQ that its fragile and can easily fall!
So the VIX sentiment is stronger and more forward looking than the dow or NASDAQ. So understanding the VIX is more beneficial than seeing a green dow jones or NASDAQ at a VIX OF 30 +. I HOPE THAT YOU CAN SEE THE ACTUAL SUBSTANCE NOW OF THE VIX!. CHEERS
