you might not have seen the reports around in Feb about the high level of executive and other managerial salary increases and the increased bonuses awarded to said beneficiaries of corporate largesse.
now I'm sure you know someone who is a cleaner, or people who stack shelves in Woolies, or just talk with the checkout operator. ask them how much their pay has increased.
many in the frontline of service delivery have, over the last 9 years, had their employment redundant and had to apply for positions doing the same work but with others with less knowledge/experience, at the trimmed down delivery by phone and keyboard. At lower wages.
the increases at one end are balanced by the reductions at the other end.
