Well it is a thing, look into First Majestic in the USA, it is one of the most beloved silver stocks over there. The reason new things aren't tried as much as they should be is because most people are stupid. Can't say it in a more simple way. When you work with your existing products, gold and silver, in this case and value add to them you make more money. And in this case not only more money but significant brand exposure.
I could convert 90% silver to .999 in my backyard if I wanted at not much cost. Many people can do it. Like I said you don't necessarily have to compete with refineries that can do it cheaper because you have multiple ways to upsell your product. Perth Mint don't only use AUS silver to make their product, but MKR could. And even someone as jaded and burnt out as you would surely buy some Wonawinta pure Australian silver if it was offered?
