Yes, I would only be interested in taking a position in AGL once the direction has changed. Current AGL Board and Management are barely invested in their own company and that's a bad sign given past performance.

I think new customers will come from a new marketing direction. If you want an indication of the level of interest then look at the Teal seats. They want a better option and will vote with their wallets with the right advertising. People look past the 11%, AGL is simply a trashed brand synonymous with ageing coal powered supply, the AMP of energy retailing.

You raise a fair point on gas. Clearly MCB won't be wanting to promote increasing usage but he can't close it down. My guess is that the medium-long term strategy would be to increase electricity generation efficiency to the point that gas becomes uncompetitive. As both a consumer and shareholder I'd be quite happy with that.

Most of the Hydrogen industry is rubbish, simply another handout to LNP donors. If by "my type" you mean rational investors sick of subsidies and boondoggles to oil and gas donors then yeah. Manufacturing and consumers have been hammered by this government's handouts to their O&G mates for which we get no taxes in return.

I've already told you I have oil interests myself and held Woodside for years. But current policy is simply whacko.
