I was at Investor Day 2022 today.
Lot of talk about cloud computing and semi-conductors.
If 4DS is successful and produces a viable memory that is fast (I do not believe it is faster than DRAM, but close) and has high endurance and retention. Then I believe 4DS will be worth at least $5b USD.
However, at this point, we are still very risky. We have NOT proven our technology yet. At best, we get some data by August this year. Then we will probably not see a buyout until early 2023.
At worst, it doesn't work very well or just isn't needed, then this is a total loss. There's no "okay" scenario. I think this 30cents talk is silly. It's either so good it's worth billions, or so crap it's worth nothing. It will never be a "yeah this is decent" 30 cents. If it's only "decent" then it won't have a market. Flash, DRAM and Optane already meet most needs. To be worthwhile this would need to be absolutely incredible. If it is, then it's billions, if it's not, then it's $0. In my opinion.
