So Magellan paid $90m plus 1.2m shares (valued at ~$57 at that time) for a stake in Barrenjoey in Sep2020
That to me is ~90+68m = ~158m cost base
The 36% share based on the current valuation that Barclays paid is ~325m (75/8.3% * 36%)
So Magellan have more than doubled their initial investment based on what Barclays have now paid....these side investments have worked out pretty good....we need more of Hamish's dealmaking given how successful this has been
