The problem is not the Austrian government, of course they want a mine......the problem is the residents/property owners.....as you can see from the relocation of the mine entrance .......and we haven't heard anything positive from El for a year that they already have a new property for it.

And as you surely know, a government cannot simply expropriate people just because Australians want to build a mine, in a constitutional state all objections of the people / nature conservation / water management / forestry authority on site must be heard and decided upon......The forests around and above the mine are all privately owned where there are many pastures with cows and tourists.
