Don't get me wrong, I am not indifferent to the plight of the share price. It is extremely frustrating not to have the brilliant work done in/ underground Oklahoma and value created not being reflected in the price of the stock. This is not peculiar to BRK though. Have a look at CE1 which is suffering a similar plight or even CVN for that matter to name a couple.
When you articulate your concern "I just want the share price to move and think at this stage that it is management has been very poor in this area of the business" I would say the primary focus of management should be and must be ensuring the company is successful operationally . It's actions shouldn't be such to harm the share price and I understand and to some extent agree with those that say the vast number of options on issue is a drag on the company share price ( not just the Aug 21 issue).
But again, the context of why there are so many BRKOB options has to be understood in terms of BRK needing funding to get the show on the road, and after 3 years of trying to get well bore only funding through third parties, SHE and even establishing the SABO drilling trust to raise $8 million in late 2020 ( raised ~$2 million so was dissolved), BRK were forced to raise substantial equity at a depressed stock price, and needed the option kicker to sweeten the deal for CPS clients to come aboard. The Feb raise in 2021 raised more cash in one go from a new group of shareholders than BRK had done in it's existence after relisting in 2015.
One can't say BRK management aren't actively marketing the company , barring placing ads in the paper and sound bites on the radio, not sure what more they can do in this endeavour. This upcoming SPARK PLUS Roadshow in Australia before the AGM will be a bit of a watershed IMO as the story, BACKED by operational success with Jewell, Rangers and Flames, balance sheet strength and real growth prospects will have real substance.
We all want the share price to move but there is always a cause and effect , and it can take some time before the cause has the desired effect, and sometimes, for some reason, the effect occurs before the cause.
The BRK operations are the cause here, and the more successful the company is in the field, the more production, assets, reserves and value are built, the higher the probability the there will be a positive effect. One just needs to be patient. If one hasn't time to be patient, well I am afraid that is their problem, not the company's.
So I am not dismissing your concern regarding the share price and agree with your frustration. In the short term, anything can happen, but the point I am trying to make is, in the long term there won't be a rerate in the share price without successful company operations generating increasing profits, and that's what management need to focus on and achieve, and that's what shareholder should be celebrating.
