Thats rubbish, yes oil was down and the dow got hit hard but STO is only down 1% and WPL is only down 2.7% so I think at least 4 of the 6% drop in Beach was due to the new appointment.
I think its too early to say he has done a great job since acting as CEO as production has continued to decline since he took over. The share price has gone up due to the oil and gas prices going up and not due to what he has achieved so far.
If he can demonstrate that he has achieved stable quarterly production of around 7MMboe per quarter compared to the current 5MMboe per quarter I will then agree he has done a good job but I think we still have a long way to go before we see that.
