Why ?

Again, there is no more research team.
Why to buy an empty shell when you just need to have access to the IP ?


I happen to think that we have more chances to see Western Digital being taken over than 4DS, in the next twelve months.

The 4DS technology could be a nice incentive for the potential bidder of Western Digital.
Specialy if they split WDC in two different companies (HDD and NAND).


Just a gut feelling, but maybe the futur of 4DS is - and has always been - inside a bigger deal involving larger companies.

Disbanding the project team makes sens in this respect.

You dont need them anymore as they have done their job : delivering the best possible cell (wich efficiency will be demonstrated in an array).

The rest of the job will be done by another part of the global team involved.

If we look at the 4DS story that way, a lot of things that didn't add up previously, start to make sens.
