    Sorry, this wasn't questioning your post, just genuinely curious as to how this is treated at tax time.

    1. Company pays tax when issuing WPL shares (= fully franked)
    2. Shareholder pays income tax on receiving WPL shares
    3. Shareholder pays CGT on selling WPL shares

    The real winner is the government getting a triple dip of taxes on this transaction, lol
