you are slightly wrong. Cost base will start at the going rate you get WPL at. Technically we are being gifted the franking credits. If it was a complete swap you wouldn’t get that. However, if you would rather not have that on your tax you could sell prior to the XD and buy the day after. Can’t have it both ways.
