but it does when times are bad i am afraid and if over extended you can also lose.
example:
in the early 80's, house sold in Brighton for 350k rates went up to 17 %
house went back on the market, went to auction..made 250K and sold..
so vendors not only lost 100k plus stamp duty, plus other cost that go with house ownership..
so they debt over 100k to the bank, and left with no asset,
take care, out there, where money is concerned ,its to hard to get
