I take on board everything you have said and agree with you 100%.

I too, have had similar experiences to your PSA episode...in fact, I too was on PSA from about 18c...at which time from memory, it's cash backing was about 19c?

I bought and sold it all the way up to about 80c, at which point it reached a short-term peak. Unfortunately however, I continued to hold, convinced it would eventually continue on it's upward trend.

I eventually exited all positions just under 80c.

In retrospect, I should have sold much earlier, rather than simply watch my money drifting sideways doing nothing for so long...and just to add salt to the wound, PSA took off again about 2 weeks after I sold!

Sometimes you just can't win!

Although I have since traded PSA, I have never again considered it an investment!

Jocam9...I don't know your PSA story, but I find it hard to believe anyone could have been unhappy with it's performance over the last year or so. As I see it, there have been many trading opportunities along the way, in which you could have bought and sold your shares many times over...and in the process, increased your overall stake!

I guess it comes down to your particular trading/investment style.

I won't go into all the details here, but in short, I have structured my "trading" and "investing" activities into two separate categories.

The first category is one of pure "investment", with around 16 - 20 stocks at any one time...I rarely touch these stocks.

The second category is for my "trading" stock...and as such is constantly changing!

Within this "trading" category, is my exposure to NDO, which currently makes up about 40% of it's total value.

This NDO holding consists of "core" and "trading" stock.

I never touch my "core" stock, however, I trade-the-pants off the rest, with the view to constantly adding to my "core" holding along the way...for example, in just the last 3 weeks, and without the need for additional funds, I have been able to increase my "core" portfolio by 210K shares and 325K options, whilst maintaining my "trading" stock levels...in effect, greatly reducing the impact of the current re-trace.

As I see it, the active management of one's portfolio, is as important as the particulars of the stock itself.

Having said all that however, I agree with your inference, that one must be careful not to fall in love with any stock...which I accept, may appear to be the case with my coverage of NDO.

Believe me, when the time is right, I will be able to exit all my NDO positions in a blink! The fact is however, that I just don't think that time has come yet...but if am wrong, so be it!

To be honest, I don't really know why I have taken to posting on NDO so much...perhaps it is due to the fact that until recently, I was pretty much the only one who liked it…perhaps it is because I am extremely happy with it’s performance to date…or perhaps I simply enjoy having fun with sandybeachs…LOL!

For what it’s worth, I am truly sorry that you feel I am ramping, or in any way “pushing” NDO here at HC…I have always done my best to give a fairly balanced view whenever I have posted on it...or any other stock for that matter.

Believe it or not, I actually have investments in many other stocks, some of which are even larger than my NDO exposure…but the simple fact is, I just don't have the time to post on all of them.
