#bigal36, You're too harsh and your definition of a "great job" is too demanding.
The company has a long-standing target of 28MMboe for 2024 and that requires about 50% jump in production from when Morne was given his acting position. 28MMboe is a very tough target, and if the company reaches it by 2024 we will indeed be part of something "great". Personally, I’ll be happy with much less. And I’m very happy with current direction.

Part of the reason why Matt Kay left the job would have to be that target. The board has had time to look for whoever they want for CEO and they have given the job to Morne. That says a lot. I agree strongly with Coto’s sentiment on this and I will paraphrase him for emphasis:

“ an insider with a deep knowledge ofthe business is preferable to an outsider with big ideas, but lacking knowledgeof the business. Too many outsiders walk into a good business and shake it up fora short term market bounce, only to lose shareholder funds over the long term. You bring in outsiders when everything is going wrong, we don't have that here..

A little bounce around in the dailyshare price is just noise.

Real shareholders are in Beach for a “real “ return. We’re not day traders.
So far we should be nothing but happy with Morne. It’s a great call by the board!
