If you spend 2 seconds thinking you'll realise that currently the converse is true, that the inner city people wanting action on climate change have been beholden to the small minded and backwards attitudes of the 'bush'. Not that broad generalisations like this help but you are just sprouting Daily Telegraph clap trap here without thinking of what it has meant going the other way all this time....
I am a WHC investor but not one person of intelligence sees a long term business in coal. Coal is dead, long live coal. Talking about jobs in a dead end asset seems like a ridiculous proposition when you could instead be investing into growing jobs in the (bush, in the) new energy economy.
