Just regarding ore sorters, they are useful for mainly underground mining where the true thicknesses of the ore veins are less than 1.5m. For open pit operations, they can deal with fairly narrow ore zones with careful blasting so as not to dilute the ore. Its mostly free digging at Paris anyway. It sounds a little more hard at Apollo.
