I am not trying to show my colours, but I do think the community has made a clear and confident statement this weekend. What we have shown as a community is that we are not fearful of change, and wont be made fearful by those who try to lead us that way. Instead, we will take it on and harness it for the opportunity change can provide the country. For that I am pleased, because living in fear of change or in fear of others, has in history never served any one or any country well.

But, how does this relate to ADO?

For me, in shorthand, we have two key products that are cutting edge technolgies in a world looking for cutting edge technology to solve some of the big issues facing humanity - disease and climate change.

Australia has just joined the rest of the developed world in commencing one of the greatest new revolutions in manufacturing and technology and this will go on for many decades. This shift has always been unavoidable, but without the right government policy Australia's role in it has been delayed and opportunity knobbled - but now it is about to be jetfueled (IMO).
Combined with a clear need alongside many countries all over the globe, Australia will also focus on strengthening our sovereign capacity in new technology (medical and batteries come to mind), which in my view can only be good for Australian based companies in those sectors, like ADO.

Insert into this ADO, with solutions that require advanced manufacturing and are playing a part in responding to global problems, which have a potential commercial business case in the many billions of dollars of potential revenue, if executed properly.

Then we add to this the change in board, particularly the recent additions of Katherine Woodthorpe and Ewen Crouch.
KW with deep and long standing professional and political relationships with Government. Has been a highly qualified and regarded chair to a number of Government supported 'Commonwealth Research Centres' (CRCs). Also EC as our new Chairperson, being declared a 'rainmaker' and being most recently from the banking sector, a sector with deep relationships to Government.

So.....I am glad I stayed with ADO after recent calamities....and just as happy for many of you who have been here far longer. IMO - This is at very least going to be an intriguing time, and at the very best, if those stars do align, a quite spectacular era for ADO.

My guess is that in 6-9 months we will know all we need to know about the future of this company.

    Just sharing some musings.

    Good luck all

    EB
