This "opportunity cost" argument is false reasoning.
The only reason you know that the other companies have done well is because today, you have the benefit of perfect hindsight.
All of us have stories of shares on the watchlist that have taken off while 4DS languished on the sidelines. That's not opportunity cost, that's just having the wrong horse.
The sharemarket doesn't owe you a return.
