Good point. I remember thinking the same thing after the finish of the questions and answer session.
Mind you, there was only about 5 questions in total and my two were answered about what Tom bring to the table that perhaps what Fluence was lacking and a question on the product range and the benefit to USA.
In short from my memory, no. Most of the focus was the USA market. I suspect this was due to Tom doing most of the talking and his comprehensive knowledge and experience within this market. There was some excitement about Taiwan, but there wasn't much discussion at all about China. I also think that Richard has mentioned the Covid impact on China in numerous calls prior to today.
Clearly, China has slowed down and they are waiting for it to pick up after the zero tolerance on covid approach to play out. It appears management are taking this time to concentrate on other markets, particularly USA.
Anyway, it was also interesting for those that remember the Stanford Universury trial back in 2018 - 2019. There was great fanfare and expectation on this trial, particularly in USA.
Richard acknowledged that they could and should have done more in promoting this outcome, but now that it's about 3 years old, wasn't sure of the impact.
They mentioned the importance of getting local reference sites to demonstrate proof of concept. That is one of the reasons why China has done so well.
As an example, they are keen to get a reference site in Australia to show Australians what can be achieved. People want local examples, not what works in other places. I think they are talking to someone in VIC?
Anyway, hope this provides a bit more information and as always from my memory.
