We seem to agree that doing alchemy with zinc is a bad thing, but please don't besmirch nickel, which is fine so long as it mixes left and not right in the periodic table.

When you look at ASX mining company performance in recent years you can't overlook the profits generated in the NiS fields of WA. Copper has generally required taking offshore risk, and zinc has been a disaster.

I am very happy with heavy doses of Cu (PNA) and Ni (IGO) in my portfolio, but not happy to be in any high cost or high risk miner, nor any that mixes zinc into their sales.

Anyway PNA at a new post GFC high. Doesn't feel to me like we're running out of steam either, however it looks pretty fully valued to me. Neither a buyer nor a seller at this price, but might reduce a little if we approach 70 before time.
