Semiconductor revenue in 2021 was 600 Billion dollars of which $150 billion was revenue in the memories space the companies that generated revenue are planning to spend $200 billion or so money on capital expenditures in 2022 so there's a tremendous amount of investment appearing in semiconductor industry 1/3 of revenue spent on capital expenditures. Of this revenue like I said roughly 100 fifty $260 billion is spent on memory of that amount about 95 billion is spent on DRAM chips.
I had the opportunity last week last week to drive by start Intel sites and tears of seaside in phoenix where decency and Intel bulls are building from immensely large new factories Intel and teaser she have both announced that they are going to spend in the order of $600 billion in capital expenditures over the next 10 years. Now 4DS is focused on the memory market like I said roughly on at $160 billion of revenue is generated in 2021 in the memory space of which about 95 billion was DRAM 40 S is focused on developing a standalone memory not an embedded memory but a standalone memory and the application of his memory is a storage class memory augmenting the DRAM market. So we're going to benefit from that that growth in the in the DRAM market it's about 5 to 6% annual growth rate so that market is growing by 5 to $6 billion in revenue every year. 4DS is focused on building a memory that is fast the speeds that will be equivalent or exceed the near Ashby that is very low cost lower cost then an SRAM probably similar in cost to DRAM but more expensive than an admin right we're focused on the market where we build high density memories in your of gigabits per chip and our memory is nonvolatile and that's how it sets itself apart from the Dram which is a volatile memory. Now keeping in mind that that is the focus of the company we we were lucky to be able to bring in ken as our new CEO earlier this year can brings with him a tremendous amount of knowledge of the memory space he worked at nanya at one of the Taiwanese DRAM manufacturers and in his role at nonya he interacted with the users of DRAM companies like HP Dell computer companies the reason we chose Ken as our CEO is because of his experience in the memory spaces contacts with the users of memory Ann was 4DS transitioning from developing our technology and demonstrating out of technology on our platform lock that is scheduled to come out in July of this year if that lot of successful we should have information that allows us to start the process of showcasing our technology to perspective requires an and find an exit for the company this exit process is is focused on talking to a variety of memory makers and memory users and by talking to multiple parties we hope to create competition additional test resources and we're actively recruiting in this field relation to switching to a commercial test set up whether that will shorten the time of doing testing the answer is no the which to commercial test capability allows us test at much higher speeds it allows us to test endurance and retention under realistic product environment conditions so we will get better information but our investment in the commercial test system was not aimed add increasing speed by doing massive parallel testing that would have meant spending probably an additional $1,000,000 on on such a test performance the true forms can only be tested by running the memory array on the commercial tester so we will get more information in in August September of this year there's a question whether we will be running additional platforms it is very likely that we will continue to work with imec and and do additional launch to find you and the technology even if the results on on the locked in July are very good simply to show that to our potential acquires while we're in negotiations that we can continue to find you and improve performance of our technology for that same purpose if you mentioned and press releases were doing work in the Stanford nano facility where we're trying out new ideas for our memory stack to improve performance again on single memory cell so there until the
