Good move. With WTI touching $114 overnight despite the US tapping their strategic reserves (now at levels so low that they haven't been seen since 1987) the cost of fuel doesn't just decimate the bottom line of Qantas. It hurts households who end up with less discretionary spend.
Does one really want to go on a holiday to Bali when their mortgage repayments keep going up and the cost of refilling their car is through the roof?
