It was not a compulsory referendum so does not indicate the true feelings of the total population

It is natural that all of the SSM campaign would vote, but many of the normal people would not bother
So to herald it as a triumph and an example of the will of Australia is false

Your opinions are also only yours and not necessarily fact, there was no suggestion in the campaign that human rights were an issue
