I know this sounds a bit silly, but with growing production, cash in the bank, why doesnt rms, just try a take over of avo, and gain both dio and avo. I know the market cap of avo is nearly three times more than rms. From memory wasnt the take over of MIM mining by Xstarda a similar situation, where Mim had a bigger market cap then xstrada. And we all know what happened to xstrada since (4th biggest miner in world). Depends all on how much risk the board is willing to take (Bullish view on gold price) and a good financier (Of which there arent that many of late, because of the GFC, and banks non willing to lend) I'm sure these discussions have been expored by the board of rms
