Talbot has had both hits and misses so his presence doesn't have a huge meaning to me - he's no Warren Buffet.
I know one of his more recent misses is that he got into RIV at about $10 and recently sold at $6 - plus it was one of his biggest (if not the biggest) investments.
On the other hand he's made quite a bit back with Karoon buying in initially at $2 or so (about $10 now). Not sure about the size of the holding though...
