It's unlikely Abbott will suffer any long term reputational damage, imo. I really don't think you can compare it to China. People will always go back to what they are used to and in most cases they will accept any problems have been resolved. Let's not forget, babies are non verbal so there is no feedback in terms of opinion from the baby as to what they like and what they don't like. So most mums will go back to what they usually buy and babies will take whatever they are given. Obviously, some formula's go down better than other's and the astute mother will be reading the nutritional content, not just looking at the price. That being said, if BUB's offer a superior product at a competitive price, then I think this could be a real positive for holders.
