I don't regard HVN as anything special, just a major importer of Chinese made goods so yes it would have been an easy target when Covid hit and supplies dried up. Still has a 2.8% short position today.
Yes, high SOI stocks like IMU are easy targets as the registry is so loose, something managements need to consider when they're handing out share like confetti.
You gotta remember we even have the leader of IMU involved in a major short position here, hardly a huge endorsement against shorters.
But I still thank him for doing what he did rather than the alternatives.
