I worked for a promotional company who insisted tattoos be covered. I considered that to be a reasonable request given we were working in the cosmetic industry. For the time I worked with them my ankle tattoo was covered with bandaids under stockings.
I think employers need to be the astute ones here, in relation to what they want. Personally I find some tattoos very appealing.
