    hongjian,

i think the silence speaks for itself.
im betting no one here believes management will do a backflip.
    i dont.

it may get voted down by shareholders, but there is little chance of management doing a backflip on the bhp deal. they saved their 'burn a bridge' card for the CRM deal.

and even if they do vote against it, they will lose what miniscule shred of credibitlity they have left.
    think about it.
they burned CRM then flip out on BHP - who in their right mind would deal with them after that????????

    and as for...
    "we start from square one."
    ...well, i disagree.
they will start from behind the 8 ball, cos with no CRM and a wider credibility reputation in tatters, no one would touch UMC with a 10 foot pole.

so then u'd be hoping management fell on their own sword and quit...unlikely, especially when they have an easy out at $1.30

imo, this management is all backflipped out.
they used them all up on promises of production, port berths, progressing railway, the crm deal, the list goes on...

BUT, if they do have one more backflip in them id like to see it off a plank into a crocodile pit.

all in my opinion of course.
