dont disagree with the high debts levels being a problem

but what effect will printing more money have? I think "through the floor" is a massive overstatement, but time will tell, but lets agree to disagree.

I dont disagree with american attitude to overconsumption , its crazy.

As far as the extra cash Aussies put into their mortgages. I don't know the figures so I cant be sure. But if Australia has some of the most unaffordable real estate (where income is factored in to the equation) then it stands to reason Australians commit a higher percentage of their disposable income into servicing mortgages, thus causing property prices to inflate. And just about everyone commits to a huge debt into purchasing these "assets". These "assets" wont be considered assets if in 20 years from now they haven't even appreciated in line with inflation and carrying costs(maintenance) - they will in effect be liabilities. IMO The ship has sailed on property being an easy way to make profit.
