This was posted on SS back in 2005 around the time that the Carlyle group bought quinteq?

It is interesting to see that they were even buying way back then perhaps?

There is a hell of a lot more there as well way to much to place here, if anybody is interested go to that site and down the bottom of the page where it says "enter keyword" place the word "Carlyle" and hit search topic!

one thing that does interest me is the involvement of carlyle - they are reputed to have been buying for ages - ok say they had 40% as ADR's - the mop up would be 60% and far less than the 7.8b$
Remember too that Mike said ages ago he wasn't wiling to part with the co under $10 per share....anyway wait and see.

some goose on ahoo reckons carlyle are buying mst at $15 per adr (well if it was $15 per share AUS) it might be worth considering.
