You think distribution will happen that quickly? Medical companies aren't going to just sign up/purchase software just because it's on the apple store. There needs to be some form of sales interactions, account management, face to face meetings, etc. Even at small scale these things take time. ...Also, wouldn't the testing be required to be undertaken in conjunction with a medical professional? Used as an additional tool rather than a stand alone diagnosis.
In regards to China, the chance of their government using Australian technology in such a public way like you mention is basically zero.
