There is no malice or prejudice on my part - that would imply some sort of emotion - where there is non.
Why should I care which technology comes to the fore? I only want cheap reliable baseload power when I need it.

Batteries are not new technology - it has taken centuries to get them to their present point of development.

They are simply storage recipticles - and as such are limited by their storage capacity. As I said in a previous post, they are good insurance to protect frequency - that's it - nothing else - useless for a high demand industrialised economy - that fact probably tells you all you need to know about Australia.
