hello BIGSKY, i know this is a late reply but here it is

firstly, regarding Australian home prices, i dont think we are facing any problems however home prices do need to come down a little bit, and that means that some home owners may default, it cant be a perfect world. Although i think the general cost of living due to commodities, water and oil and gas for eg will continue to rise (inflation) and this will help to curb the sharp rises in home prices along with a steady increase in interest rates attempting to curb inflation...perhaps 15% was a bit extreme, but i do think we will see 10% soon, maybe we plateau around 10%

regarding the interest rates in the USA, i agree with what you said. the USA do not have much of a choice anymore, there road is rapidly coming to an end, the collapse is nearing the beginning

The have two choices IMO

raise interest rates sig, let the free market work and re balance the inbalances of the economy, which means many will default, incl the government, OR, they can continue to print money to pay off their debts and eventually the USD will be worthless

its a sad situation, to see the power of one nation that has been at the epicenter of global growth for so long, come tumbling down, but thats life, and it will be history, we are all going to witness an amazing part of history in the next few years and while it will be terrible for the USA, their place will be filled, and life will go on

the next few years are going to be very interesting, but i for one, am expecting the worst, America is doomed
