Russian literature has been admired and championed in the West. Tolstoy, Pushkin, Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn etc. Novels like Crime and Punishment, The Brothers Karazamov are well known and beloved. Russian composers such as Tchaikovsky are all known and admired.
    The Bolshoi Ballet is iconic.

Not sure what the reference to ‘gold diggers’ is about, that is a name given to a certain type of woman in any country.

‘doping’: the Russian state doping programme was systemic and this was not some sort of trope or myth, it’s been an actual and ongoing problem.

‘whores’: see ‘gold diggers’ above. There are prostitutes in virtually every country. Many in western countries are Asian for example, which is a simple statement of fact.

‘commies’: it is a simple statement of fact that Russia was the first country in the world to implement a Marxist system.

‘mafia / Oligarch’: again, stating facts about features of a society is not indicative of a prejudice. The mafia is a problem in Italy for example - it’s not racist or colonial to state that.

‘inefficiency’: a weird one, never heard of this in connection with Russia before.

‘drunks’: ‘Medvedev said he was shocked by official data showing the average Russian drank 18 litres (38 pints) of pure alcohol each year. "When you convert that into vodka bottles, it is simply mind-boggling," Medvedev said. 12/08/2009’

‘female assassins with broken English’: sounds like a reference to James Bond films. Russia was the Cold War adversary when Fleming wrote those books. Would be weird if the Russian characters spoke prefect English with no accent. It’s the same with French, German, Italian characters.

Maybe you’ve collected up a grab bag of your own perceptions and tried to label them as ‘a deeply ingrained bigoted colonial mindset’.
