I think it highly unlikely that the SP will split in half for the reasons already stated. Speculators and traders will I think support the price because the stock. VIL is clearly on the radar, traders now (rightly or wrongly) anticipate a 90+ probability of a commercial result and where else would you get this risk/reward formula on a specie?
BCC is one possibility (I have a good hold there) but where else can you potenially get several bags in several weeks with lowish risk??
As a respected poster on the BCC thread says, it takes time for long money to replace spec money in a stock but we are talking extremes with VIL.
One thing the company urgently needs to do is map out a broad plan for the future assuming the P50 estimates are realised. My thinking is that the subsector in which they operate remains very illiquid because US financial markets remain frozen for junior specs. This means VIL (like BCC) has potential to farm into other good prospects at distressed prices .... for the time being. The company needs to now tell holders why they should continue to hold and why new investors should put their money down. I can't do it for them but some strategic alliances may be advantageous.
Cheers
