Yes it's because Goldman and Credit Suisse are buying up big time. Goldman in particular has gone nuts over the past week or so. Over the last couple of days it's mostly been CommSec selling to Goldman.
The data for the 7th of June shows that LKE and CXO are in Goldman's top 6 stocks out of the 503 they bought and sold on the ASX.
Goldman are going balls deep into LKE right now. This is why you are seeing such strong support amongst all the carnage.
